Trying Times

I had a very sleepless night the other night. Losing a loved one is really hard. Some days are good and some days it is very hard not to just cry all day. But I know that Curtis and Tami are happy.

I just wanted to share this poem that I wrote during my sleepless night.

Life is a journey we must all go through
Hold on and be strong is what we are asked to do
Sometimes it’s not easy to bear up this task
But with faith, hope, and trust we can be steadfast
For we are not sent here to bear this alone
God gave us family and friends to help us ‘til we come home
Satan’s always there to stand in the way
But God’s also there to lift you out of the way
So when your at a time in your life
When nothing seems to be going right
Get down on your knees and pray
And be humble so you’ll know of his way
Remember not to blame those you love
For trials are sent from God up above
This life is just a short glimpse in time
Before we move on to our life sublime
So make memories that you can hold so dear
Don’t let Satan and his helpers interfere
So when your judgment day arrives
And your asked the question, How well did you derive?
Which side of the scale will your deeds lean to,
Have you shown Christ-like love or is the opposite true?
You’ll be able to say without a doubt
I have passed the test that was brought about
So put your trust in that God up above
And you’ll find peace, joy, and eternal love.

Just when I thought you forgot you had a blog- you posted! YAY!

Jen! I love it! You are very talented in the poem writing department!

Dinner was nice last night. Justin and I were talking that we can't wait till you live closer so we can do more things together as a family.

Love you guys!
